ASCAP Member; 3 OH! 9 Music Recording Singer Songwriter, LaShonda Schofield Releases debut single “Wash That Man” from Forthcoming LP
HOUSTON – January 24, 2018 – In advance of the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, 3 OH! 9® Music Group, an emerging independent music production and entertainment company, announced LaShonda Schofield, singer songwriter, will release “Wash That Man”, Thursday, January 25, 2018.
3 OH! 9 Music Group created the imprint label 3 OH! 9 Music Recording in 2017, to focus on the management and promotion of independent recording artists; and “Wash that Man” is the debut single to be released under the brand.
LaShonda Schofield, began singing at age 3 and wrote her first song, “Candy Treat” at only 11 years old. She became a recording artist at age 19. Her first performance was George Benson’s “Greatest Love” in the family’s living room before a private audience.
Today, Schofield boasts nearly 125 songs in her catalogue. Her music is influenced by pop, rock, country, and R&B . “I would sing at talent shows and before family members”, she recalled. “At first I was embarrassed to sing in front of people but over time I became comfortable” she added.
She has written songs for Ryan Toby (R&B Group City High) and collaborated with R & B group Arrested Development’s Tasha LaRae for Tasha’s 2018 LP project; and Schofield works with playwrights to license original music for theatre and film. “Wash That Man” is featured in the 2017 film, “Shattered Love”.
LaShonda’s role as a singer songwriter has many facets, “not only writing, not only collaborating”, but her songs and creative voice plays a major part in the 3 OH! 9® Recording brand.
